Newsletters for October were mailed

Just to let you know, I put the newsletters for Ben, Kempton, and Raleigh in the mail last Thursday or Friday. So they should be arriving soon!

The next talk--I really enjoyed it and didn't realize that it was from a G/A not an apostle--but let's stick to the plan anyways .. .

It's the Power of Patience by Elder Robert C. Oaks. It was from the Saturday morning session.

I already have a post from Dad--let's put Nov. 12th as the deadline--and that will give me time to get them out to you guys.

I'm hoping to hear from Kaley, Ben, Kempton (you promised!) and Raleigh this time!!!!

Quack Quack said the Mr. Duckie!

Check out the Halloween customes that we got to sport this year! Brian gets the award for "Best Husband of the Year" for putting up with this costume!

Kaley & John had a good time laughing at us, but we laughed pretty hard too!

Mom spoke in sacrament meeting today on listening to Latterday prophets--she did a great job.

Parents Gone Wild!!

Well, having mom and dad out here for Homecoming was a lot of fun! It made my week watching mom and dad driving to the football game on my scooter. I didn't really think they had it in them! I guess, now that the "nest" is empty...their wild sides will be comin' out! Watch Out Fam!

John riding Sis

Look how good John looks! He had a great time riding Sis the other day. Thanks to Carol's riding lesson, John got the hang of riding gaited horses pretty quick. Florida is finally starting to cool down for the fall. The weather is awesome for horse back riding and fishing!

Show Time!

Gator Bait!

John and I are hanging out on Campus before the game starts! We sat on this bench in the shade for 1 whole hour. Just trying to save up our energy for later. :)

Go Gators!

Go Gators! We are true blue and orange fans. We showed up at the game three hours early to see the pre-game activities and enjoy the Homecoming Game celebration. It was so fun - and to top if off Florida beat the Tigers 23-10! GO GATORS!

Dad bought a Mule

Dad bought a really nice Mule this week--and Kaley was in town so we all took a nice drive around the property. Campbell likes the fact that is has seatbelts because she said it moves like a rollar coaster :)

Kaley and I bought this fabric yesterday so that I could make my one and only nephew a cute little quilt. Kaley and I finished the face of it yesterday and I put the backing on today.

It was a fun day! I know Kaley and John have Homecoming football tomorrow and Kaley was bragging about some super good seats! I CANNOT say that I want the Gators to win--but I do hope that they have a really fun day!

We are headed to Lakeland tomorrow and then to Orlando tomorrow night.

***Cruise update*** All monies are due next week--so make sure everyone is ready to become fully committed to the family vacation. All passport applications should be taken care of already--

The little girl blankets!

Campbell and Annastyn just loved their soft and snuggly quilts. We had a fun afternoon pretending like we were all taking naps. Of course, I actually like taking naps and was hoping to trick someone into taking one too. But these girls are too smart for that - I can't ever slip a quick one by them!

Horsin' around!

Campbell is our future horse show model. She just loves that Lover Boy. She can't wait to ride him all by herself :) Annastyn is just too cute for words! She is becoming more confident everyday around the horses.

Hanging out with the girls!

These are my little chica's. We have so much fun hanging out at Inverness with the horses!

Fun conference pictures :)

The girls love their Aunt Kaley.

A nice thought

From Sister Hinckley's book:

"Life is full of challenges. Many of them involve balance and temperance. Complete abstention may be much easier than moderation . . ." then she quotes Ralph Waldo Emerson when he said "It is easy in the world to live after the world's opinion; it is easy in solitude to live after our own, but the great man is he who in the midst of the crowd keeps with perfect sweetness the independence of solitude."

Now that we've finished w/ general conference, it's time to start up the newsletter, that YOU AS A FAMILY voted to start up again. English text of conference addresses will be available online by the Thursday following conference.

I want to start with the beginning . . . Dallin H. Oaks who spoke about Heavy burdens and the power of healing. (Matthew 11:28-30).

Please have your post to me by Sunday October 15th.

Thanks,

Brittan
